The opening night for the performance “Along the Green Hills of Oceania” based on a fairy tale by Sergey Kozlov took place on December 23, 2006.
It is the second work of Saratov Theater actor Artem Kusin as a director. The first was the graduation performance “The Sky above Them” (with graduation students of the conservatory theater department), that performance got a warm welcome from the audience.

The play “Along the Green Hills of Oceania” was written by a fantasist and poet, known both to children and adults, Sergey Grigirievich Kozlov. His is the author of the stories about Hedgehog and his friends (“Hedgehog in the Fog”, “Hedgehog and the Sea”, “How Donkey was sewing a fur coat”, etc.) and also the stories about the Lionet and the Turtle, who sang the song: “I’m sitting in the sun, I’m staring at the sun…”

Sergey Kozlov started to write children tales in 60s, then he created his Bear, Hare and Hedgehog. He still writes stories about them. Sergey Kozlov thinks that one can talk to the children seriously about the adult matters – about love and trust, happiness of life, fragility of beauty, pain, fear and death…  In the tale it will be like that: “I’m an old salt Wolf. I was mutilated in battles. And now I happened to be in this forest. What have I become? A bandit! A friend of The Fox, The Owl and The Crow. What do they know about me? About fire, smoke, courage, friendship of battles? Not once I wanted to escape, run away, sail away. But every time I heard: “Where are you going, Wolfie? Everyone here is afraid of you!” Yes. They are. But I want them to… love me!”

We are waiting all the young dreamers and romantics at our performance!
