The opening night for the performance “Natasha’s dream” written by Yaroslava Pulinovich took place on the stage of Saratov Academic Kiselev Youth Theatre on 24th and 25th February 2009.

A good tradition was started in Saratov Kiselev Youth Theatre – it’s the work of the theatre creative laboratories on contemporary drama. The creative laboratory “The Forth Height. Contemporary Children’s Dramaturgy (for teenagers)” studies the latest Russian and foreign drama oriented on teenagers. During its work new plays of modern playwrights were presented in a form of a reading-performance. All the performances were made by young directors, among them Dmitry Egorov (St. Petersburg). He made two sketch-performances including “Natasha’s dream” by Yaroslava Pulinovich. Olga Lisenko, a TUZ’s actress who presented the play at the laboratory, received a standing ovation from the audience.

“Natasha’s dream” is a monologue of Natasha Banina, a resident of a children's home. Her story about love, friendship and mother reveals the image of our world as it is in its true colors. In her fight for love Natasha commits a crime. But who is she in reality – a criminal or a victim?

It’s important to note that the creator and moderator of this project is a well-known theatre critic Oleg Loevsky (Yekaterinburg): “In the “Natasha’s dream” with the text by Yaroslava Pulinovich from Yekaterinburg and the work of the actress Olga Lysenko from Saratov and the director Dmitry Egorov from St. Petersburg the soul substance which is beyond our views on theatre and life was created. This is the reason for people to work in theatre”.

After the performance on its discussion most of the spectators said about deep impression “Natasha’s dream” left, the impression itself was quite different in each case but always very strong. After the closing of the laboratory it was decided to create a completed performance from the laboratory’s version. In the February of 2009 the director Dmitry Egorov finished his work on the performance “Natasha’s Dream” in the Saratov Kiselev Youth Theater. Special for the performance Yaroslava Pulinovich wrote the second part of the monologue, its plot is being kept in a secret
