Dmitry Lipskerov is a famous modern writer, dramatist, co-founder of the “Debut” literary award, a member of the Russian Writers Union. His play “The River on the Pavement” was written in 1989 and its first performance was in the Tabakov Theatre-Studio. Artem Kuzin, an actor of the Saratov Youth Theatre, has already staged as a director two plays (“Along the Green Hills of Oceania”, “The Sky above Them”) before this performance. In the performance for the play “The River on the Pavement” written by Dmitry Lipskerov there are two leading characters: Richard and Rosin, they are like all the teenagers already not children, but yet not adults. They are in the age of the constant search, ambitions, maximalism, dreaming, open roads and complex relationships. The young beginning director and students with the help of this performance try to get close to the “joining of youth inspiration and the first attempts to work professionally…” This is also how the author – Dmitry Lipskerov – describes his play.
