The plays of Russian and foreign dramatists will be presented in the form of reading-performance during the work of the laboratory. Among them there was the play by Moscow playwright Elena Isaeva "About my mother and myself" defined as "school essays in two acts". This play was staged for the laboratory by young director from St. Peterburg Maria Romanova.
The play "About my mother and myself" was written in 2002 and in 2003 it won the first prize at the Russian Dramaturgy Contest "Dramatis personae". The play is in genre of memoirs and it represents memories of the author's conversations with her mother. As the director of the performance Maria Romanova said this play gained its true meaning after her meeting with Saratov Youth Theater's actors, who with all their experience, with their souls breathed life into the material, words and stories of the heroes became animated with simple but at the same time deep meaning. It was decided to continue laboratory's work and create a performance, its opening night took place on the 2nd and 4th of February, 2010.
The production team wanted to create a kind and lyrical performance. One that lets the audience fell the warm trusting atmosphere. One that makes spectators remember the dearest moments of their lives if they are adults and if they are still young - the one that assures them that they are not only ones who aren't self-confident or who are hopelessly in love. All these hardships will fade away and then they will be remembered as the happiest and brightest moments of life.
